Physical Description:
Avi is not a stick skinny girl. Yes, she’s proud of it, and yes, at times, she’s insecure of it. Her mother raised her to be proud of who she was and love all of herself, even if there was a little more to love.
Personality Description:
Avianna is not quite like anyone you’ve ever met, or maybe you have. She has a mystic about her that no one could ever quite crack. You’ll think you know every intimate detail about her life that she’s willing to splurge, and sure enough, she’s a stranger to you the next instant. She’ll want to be your best friend, but hold back slightly. Avi never gets too close to people; self reliance takes top priority with her. Not once in her life did she ever depend on someone else to do something for her that she could not (eventually) do herself.
She’s quite normal in the aspect that she has no piercings, tattoos, or body art of any kind. Her hair has always been the same shade of mousy brown into which she recently braved adding blonde highlights. Her makeup and choice of clothing, however, can be as random as a billy goat in a mall. Bright colors, dark colors, muted, what have you, they have at one time been covering her body or the imperfections on her face. She has complexion issues, body issues, and normal teen issues. She’ll grow quite and withdrawn if confronted with something; she’s not one for drama really.
She’s shy around girls, boys, everyone really. Avi always kept to herself as a child, playing dolls and dress up locked in her room. She’s almost terrified of making friends, and especially meeting boys. If she ever sees a cute guy that she could potentially like, she’ll start sweating and her stomach acts like a tilt-a-whirl. Her parents thought being at a boarding school, surrounded by peers, might break her out of her shyness.
Greatest Character Strength: Self reliance.
Worst Character Flaw: Insecurity.
Family Background and Childhood
________________________________________
Location of Home Residence:
Fargo, North Dakota.
Academy Funding:
85% paternal grandparents, 15% mother.
Family Background:
Being raised in Fargo can be tough on a girl. She lived on a dilapidated farm with the only thing left structurally sound being the old farm house, and even that was pushing it. That never broke Avi’s stride though, she didn’t know any better. She was proud of where she lived. There were so many adventures a young girl could get into strolling through the meadows, exploring the ruined barn, even just dipping her feet in the barn.
Her mother alone supported Avi. She never knew her father, only had seen pictures, but she believed him to be a great man. That’s where Avi got her magic from, so you can imagine her mother’s surprise when her magic started coming out in spontaneous bursts growing up. Apparently Avi’s mother never knew that the man she loved so dearly had magical abilities. He kept it secret all while they were together. Neither one, Avi nor her mother, ever found out what happened to him. One day he went out to the store and just never came back.
Avi’s paternal grandparents were ecstatic that she could use magic. Actually, they were just so happy to have a granddaughter in general. They immediately set up a fund for her to pay for schooling once she came of age. Her mother was completely against it, however. Growing up being self reliant and teaching her daughter to be self reliant did not go hand in hand with accepting charity from her long lost loves parents. Somehow they worded it so that they were not giving charity, merely investing in her future. Avi’s mother did not fight so hard against it this time; being a single mom trying to support herself and her daughter was hard enough, but there was no way that she could afford the best schooling for Avi.
