Physical Description:
Personality Description: In the simplest terms, Morwenna is a very curious little girl. She is dual-natured, elusive, complex, and contradictory. On the one hand, she produces the virtue of versatility and on the other the vices of two-facedness and flightiness. When it comes down to the basics, she’s just a scheming little prankster looking for attention. When she is good, she attracts positive attention; when she is bad, she is more the worse for being the charmer she is. Morwenna is usually lively and happy, if circumstances are right for her, or she might be egocentric, imaginative and restless. She takes up new activities enthusiastically, but she lacks application and thus constantly needs new interests, flitting from project to project as apparently purposefully as a butterfly dancing from flower to flower. To her, life is a game which must always be full of fresh moves and continuous entertainment, free of routine and labor.
Since she lacks the quality of conscientiousness, she is apt to fight a losing duel in any attempts she makes to be moral. Her good qualities are attractive and come easily to her: she is affectionate, courteous, kind, and generous. She has learned early on to use her outward attractiveness to gain her own ends, and when striving for these, she will use any weapon she can think of — unscrupulous lying, and cunning evasiveness; escaping blame by contriving to put it on other people, wrapped up in all the charm she can muster. In her better moments, she strives to be honest and straightforward, but self-interest is almost always the victor. If things go against her, she becomes victim to sulking and damaging valuable things with her wand.
She demands attention, admiration, and the spending of time, energy and money solely upon her. Morwenna often throws tantrums if she does not get what she wants. She reflects every change in her surroundings, like a chameleon, and can become pessimistic, sullen, and materialistically self-centered if circumstances force her to struggle in any way. She often becomes uncertain of herself and withdraws herself from social activity when this happens. On the other hand, her versatility can make her very adaptable, adjusting herself to control the world around her by means of her inborn ingenuity and cleverness.
Morwenna has a keen, intuitive and brilliant intelligence and welcomes challenges of all kinds. However, her concentration, though intense for a while, does not last. Her mental agility and energy gives her a vast appetite for knowledge, though she dislikes the labor of learning. She easily grasps almost everything requiring intelligence and mental dexterity. She is able to see both sides of any question and finds it hard to make decisions. If faced with difficulties, she has very little determination to worry at a problem until she finds a solution — she will pick at the brains of others.
She is a skilled manipulator of language for her age, in speech and writing. Morwenna may be usually found writing a poem, hexing a deserving victim, or etching her opinion into one unwilling bystander or another. Her quick-wittedness helps her out of awkward situations she accidentally stumbles into daily. She is prone to taking unnecessary risks while dealing with her magic and winds up harming herself or others in the process. She likes talking and reading, and multiple projects going on all at once. She enjoys variety in life and likes the unusual. She dislikes being tied down, mental inaction, learning, such as school and being alone (to her, this is equivalent to being in a dark room with no windows or doors). Morwenna is dispassionate, logical, rational and analytical, which makes for the perfect student. She wants nothing more out of life than fun and games and is often oblivious to the troubles of the outside world and of the people around her.
Greatest Character Strength: Gregarious.
Worst Character Flaw: Egocentric.
Family Background and Childhood
Location of Home Residence: Camden, Maine
Academy Funding: Great-great grandfather Kelly Camden’s inheritance money, along with her parents funds.
Family Background: The Camden’s have lived for decades in the same quaint small town community of Camden, Maine. The seaside town has everything — a beautiful harbor, great old architecture, and even its own tiny mountain range affording great hikes with sweeping ocean views. The wizarding town has been home to many generations of pureblood enthusiasts, but none of the families are the type to degrade half-bloods or muggle-born wizards. However, to this day, it remains a niche for those born with magic and for those who have an affinity for adventure.
It all started when Morwenna’s great-great grandfather and a couple of his pureblood friends came to America from a less-than-pleasant magical community in Wales. The group had been seeking a quiet place to live, to create large and happy families in which magic would thrive as the meaning of life. Wales did not offer this particular type of comfort, though it was a great country. All worries of their previous life where shattered as they began to build a seaside village in a small, then unnamed village. Soon enough, the town had begun to take the shape of a prosperous yet quiet living place, with a market area to purchase cauldrons, wands, potions ingredients and other necessities. After his death, Camden was commemorated as the prime establisher of the town. The town was named in his honor, and thus, his family has since been regarded with great respect.
Years passed. It had become a tradition to send children of the village to Kameons Academy, an institution of magic located to the far southwest of Camden. Astrid Vivien LeVenduer and Edward Kelly Camden met at the academy in their eighth year. You could have called it a rather unexpected match. Their constant playful bickering and outgoing personalities would have surely clashed and nothing would have been accomplished if they were allowed to marry each other, the Wise Women of the village had predicted. However, they were proven wrong as their family grew large and very, very prosperous.
In the present time, Morwenna’s family is rather extensive. She has cousins upon cousins residing within the community. Her immediate family consists of her parents and her four older brothers. Astrid works as a healer in the village hospital and is paid a very healthy salary. Edward’s occupation is that of a dragon keeper.
