Character Details
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Physical Description:
Personality Description: Graham is an idealist. The world is always in great shape for him, no matter the constantly rising oil costs and the threat of nuclear war on the horizon. His primary goal in life is to make the world a better place, whether by planting a tree or helping an old lady cross the street.
Graham is highly intuitive, which he uses to his advantage. He is on a continuous mission to find the truth and meaning underlying things. Every encounter and every piece of knowledge gets sifted through Graham's brain, where it is evaluated to see if it has any potential to help the define or refine his path in life. The goal at the end is always the same-- Graham is driven to help people and make the world a better place.
Generally thoughtful and considerate, Graham is a good listener and tries to put people at ease as much as he can. Because of this, he can be reserved in letting out his true emotions; he very often puts others' feelings before his own. Once he's become closer to someone, however, he is more likely to be his true, warm self.
Graham does not like conflict, and goes to great lengths to avoid it. He doesn't care who's right and who's wrong-- he just wants it over. On the other hand, Graham can be a very good mediator, because he intuitively understands people's perspectives and feelings, and he genuinely want to help them.
When it comes to the mundane details of life, Graham is typically completely unaware of such things. He might go for long periods without noticing a stain on the carpet or a chip in his favourite mug, but carefully and meticulously brush a speck of dust off a schoolbook. Graham seems to just float along until he notices something out of whack, and then he'll try to fix it.
Graham likes to think that he's a talented writer. He may be awkard (Graham doesn't think he's ever going to get out of that awkward puberty stage) and uncomfortable with expressing himself verbally, but he has a wonderful ability to define and express what he's feeling on paper.
Overall, Graham presents a calm, pleasant face to the world. All he wants to do is make others happy, hopefully making himself happy in the process.
Greatest Character Strength: friendliness
Worst Character Flaw: shy and reserved
Family Background and Childhood
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Location of Home Residence: Asheville, NC
Academy Funding: parents and grandparents
Family Background: Graham grew up in what he considers the perfect home. There weren’t any werewolves in the family, no relatives fighting over the inheritance—just a little thing called magic that he’s grown used to, especially in his stay at Kameons.
His parents, both of magical blood, pampered Graham growing up. This is why he views the world through rose-coloured glasses. Along with his little sister, Gloria, the Bordens taught their children that magic could help their lives and the world in general, and Graham has carried this belief on to today. They also enstilled a love of nature, giving him a little garden of his own in their Appalachian home.
Of course, going to Kameons was something that Mr. and Mrs. Borden expected of both their children—alum themselves, they would accept nothing less. Thankfully, Graham’s grandfather has a high-paying job within the AMA and has helped pay the tuition; with Gloria nearing eleven, Mrs. Borden has taken up a second job as a gardener to help pay. Graham loves the time he spends at school, because he can help dozens of people and then recede into his dormitory where everyone can be none the wiser. With his sister soon joining him, Graham is a bit worried that she’ll bring more attention to him—attention he never wants—but he’s hoping for the best.
